CAMTC Certified #11071
I have extensive training (one thousand hours) in therapeutic and sports massage, with certification from the Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy (WIN Therapy). I am a proud graduate of this institution, as it has provided me with an invaluable knowledge base and forms the foundation of my methods of treatment.
My seventeen years of experience working in chiropractic offices in Orange County has allowed me to treat numerous types of work stress, sports injuries and medical conditions. I use a combination of the following techniques, designed specifically for your body’s needs.
Trigger Point Therapy
The manipulation of soft tissue to treat underlying causes of chronic pain, including sports injuries, car accidents, muscle imbalance and joint disorders, and to treat bio-mechanical problems, poor posture and manage work stress. Chronic pain typically involves a bone, muscle or tendon that perpetually hurts due to the stress of repetitive motion and daily life activities. Trigger Point Therapy also improves circulation and releases nerve compression. Click here to see Trigger Point pain patterns.
Myofascial Release
The stretching of deep muscle and fascia layers to create freedom of movement by releasing fascial adhesions and chronic muscle contraction.
Sports Massage
Focuses on muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints in order to prevent sport injuries or promote healing after an injury has occurred. Sports massage also includes the following stretching techniques:
PNF or Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation
AIS or Active Isolated Stretching
Deep Tissue Massage
By increasing the flow of blood through the body, it helps reduce chronic or acute inflammation that causes pain, poor posture, and other physical ailments.
Swedish Massage
Firm, slow and gentle massage, primarily for relaxation.
